Like damn. This is gorgeous.
In case you forgot (it has been a while), these constructs act as messengers for major Light server citires, transporting audio and written messages to and from various parts of the city. The additional colors of the lights tends to signify the type of message or the sender’s origin. At night, several roost on posts throughout major street ways and act as living light posts as they rest.
Most neon hawks look similar to this template, though some craftsmen make them in the form of other avian creatures such as more rounded owls or more complex dragon-like designs. Largely aesthetic though some are built larger so they may hold a longer charge, usually acting as town to town messengers.
This network of living lights makes the Light server particularly breathtaking from high up.
Kor-fins

Hell. Yes. If I have one true love of all the monsters I come up with for Aristeia it’s the sea monsters. Specifically these things. Kor-fins, AKA Lava Sharks, AKA AWESOME.
The Fire Server has a LOT of ore and minerals. Unfortunately a lot of these are submerged under streams of lava (for reasons that will later be explained). The flame salamanders (Kor-foots) of the server who survived off of these ores had to adapt. They adapted by going into the streams themselves.
Some Kor-fins chose to eat the smaller fish that had begun eating the ore, some began to eat the ore itself. The ores and minerals that rubbed off as they eat began to cling to their bodies, becoming plates, protecting them from the stream’s heat.
Incidentally, fishing for ores has become a mainstay of the Fire Server’s economy. Fishing for the Kor-fins themselves, well that nets more ore, and meat, and plating ready for armors right off the bat doesn’t it? Have fun fishing for these.
Also, I have a LOT of art built up for these, I’ll doll it out as the week goes on.
Macroforest Spider

From aquestionablemind again. I’m not going to lie, when I clicked the button to see the image I jumped back in terror. This description he gave is also pretty solid. This thing is just… UGH. Seriously. Macroforest is just downright horrifying and wonderful but mostly horrifying. I love this image. This is grand. I’m going to call this a Garlaroth. That’s an adequately intimidating name right? Seriously. These things, are in my nightmares tonight, I bet money on this.

As soon as I read him described as a “sea-faring maestro of the waves who gives not a single damn”, I knew that I needed to draw the guy.
It’s strange drawing men for some reason, a lot more shoulders than I’m used to. Hehe… Couldn’t resist the urge to give him a striped shirt. And a swanky jacket.
Yay more art! I do like the more regal looking coat on this one, because if nothing else Caladimus sees himself as an opportunistic business man who just happens to do some plundering and kracken-slaying in his free time. Because what else is there to do when you’re a pirate in a fantasy-cyberpunk setting. That’s right, be a classy gentleman who butchers sea-monsters, that’s what.
When I do finally talk about Caladimus I’ll bring up the peg leg, there is a reason for it. It factors into how Water server types use Water EXEcutables. It’s a little messy if you aren’t careful.

This here is Caladimus, a sea-faring maestro of the waves who gives not a single damn. I like getting Questionable’s art because he always does something different with the setting and characters. I, personally, am not crazy keen on the hook, but I’ll be darned if the cyber-punk peg leg isn’t the coolest thing in here, besides Caladimus himself of course. Also those pants, I could go for a pair of pants like that, bonus points if you use EL Wire for the red.
When I eventually get to talking about the Water Server and its populous I’ll get more in depth with Cal here. Just know that a lot of the Water Server is made up of traders, most of whom travel by water ways, and a couple (read: as many as the awesome quota allows) are probably pirates (fun fact: the awesome quota has no upper limit). Caladimus just happens to be particularly good at what he does, as a man of the sea and as a guy who can throw the sea at you (but oh my I don’t think I’ve even mentioned how EXEcutables work in this game yet have I? I’ll have to do that posthaste!)
Vlog #2 comin’ straight at you! Boom! As promised here’s a new vlog, I talk about some new stuff including a new NPC and an area the players are likely to be visiting a LOT. Fun stuff, hope you all enjoy.

Cross Concept Art
As Guardian of the Earth’s core, this guy should have some miner qualities to him (in addition to his more divine wings/weapons).
Cross is a particular NPC that I’ll be discussing hopefully in the vlog soon. He’s a guardian force of the SEED and the core of the world. He’s kinda a big stinking deal. Dunno if this is a final design, but a lot of the fun of getting fan art is seeing new takes on ideas. I like this. A lot.
Possible GUIDE art
Potential design for Guide. Since he’s essentially a god, I gave him some god-like “enhancements,” if you will. A golden mask seems perfectly god-like, right?
Well dang. This is pretty stinking cool. I don’t know if I would have the mask so pronounced, but this is REALLY cool to put a face to the voice. I’ll be talking about GUIDE and the SEED in the upcoming vlog, so this is a good launch point.
